Why your energy feels chaotic (and how to change it)

energy work self-regulation Jun 08, 2026

Hi lovebug,

Have you ever been talking to a coworker and they seem so frazzled all the time?

You’re both working at the same place, you have the same set of responsibilities, you’re breathing the same air, dealing with the same boss, living in the same climate, but their life seems to be REALLY HARD and yours just… doesn't

Now yes, OF COURSE people have different experiences. Home lives are different. Upbringings are different. Emotions trapped in the body are different, but it almost seems like some people have a hard time calming down, even when things are good?

You know those people who are cool as a cucumber even in a crisis? And then there are those people who are wound up and worrying about something even lying by the pool on vacation?

I think this has to do with their personal energy ecosystems. It doesn’t matter what’s happening around them, in their energetic world, it’s chaotic or calm or somewhere in between.

I’m talking about this because you have a say in the way your personal ecosystem feels.

My sisters and I joke about being weather witches. (It’s a joke, but like, also, we change the weather all the time.) Right now I’m working on bringing down the temperature for tomorrow in Portland.

What if you could affect the energetic weather in your ecosystem?

(psst. you can)

The first step is to start paying attention to the weather (let’s keep going with that metaphor) in your world (personal energetic ecosystem).

Is it sunny? Calm and breezy? Clear skies?

Or is it rainy? Stormy? Thundering? High winds?

When my sisters and I do our weather witching, we focus our intention and attention on the weather that we WANT.

For example, I’ve been doing a cool, sunny, cleaaaaar, cool, sunny, cleaaaaar incantation for tomorrow’s weather.

When it comes to your own personal energy ecosystem, it’s a bit more involved.

Here’s what I’ve seen changing someone’s ecosystem to be calm and sunny:

  1. Gut health. Eat less sugar, cut out seed oils and reduce processed foods. Literally number one because your gut health is basically the main indicator of your mood.
  2. Meditation and grounding. It can change your whole world in the sense that you can start to have some control over your thoughts.
  3. Energy work. My Emotion Code® clients are light years ahead in their personal growth because they’re free of so much energetic gunk.
  4. Movement. Walking. Swimming. Playing with your kiddos. Rollerblading. Dancing. My gosh, ANYTHING. Movement takes the cellular trash out and shifts your energy.
  5. Joy. Nothing will make you more lit up energetically than an activity that makes your eyes shine.

BUT! If this all feels too overwhelming and I’m stirring up the winds in your personal ecosystem, just start with this…

Start to notice your internal weather.

Calm or windy?

Sunny or rainy?

Peaceful or chaotic?

Then decide to focus on the weather, yes, the weather that you want in your ecosystem.

Take a breath, close your eyes, and envision the weather that you want.

Detach from the outcome.

Then in a little bit, check in with yourself and see if you notice any shifts.

I’ve got a few things to offer to help with your personal ecosystem:

  1. If you haven’t taken my meditation course yet, it’s a game changer. I turn non-meditators into meditators. For real. Check it out here.
  2. If you haven’t done an Emotion Code® session yet and you want to see what it’s about, you can check out an intro session here. (newcomers only)

My personal energy ecosystem weather is sunny and cool today so I’m sending some chill vibes to you for the rest of your week.
