Picked your word for the year?
Jan 01, 2026
Hey lovey!
HAP-py NEWWWW year!
*cue kazoo and confetti*
It’s 2026, oh my gosh. YOU ARE SO RESILIENT.
You made it through a bananas 2025 year.
Exhale.
Excellent job. *clap clap clap clap clap clap*
Now, let's talk about intentions for 2026.
Year after year I’ve chosen a word to define my year and it’s been a helpful guide.
Some past words have been: Bold, Sparkle, Queen, Brave, Upgrade, Shine…
I’ve picked a word for 2026 (of course) >>> this year’s word is
*drumroll please*
CONSISTENT.
My bestie looked at me when I told her my word and said, “Well. It’s not the sexiest word you’ve ever chosen.”
My response to her: “But the results are.”
Every time in my life where I have felt a sense of alignment, pride and accomplishment has been linked to consistent action.
When I owned my Zumba business, I taught classes every week - often 2 or 3 times a week - for 7 years.
People would show up and make friends and dance and then unexpectedly lose massive amounts of weight. The consistency was the thing.
During the height of the pandemic lockdown, I committed to learning how to do stop motion by making 100 short stop motion films. I never missed a day. Those films took me HOURS most days, but I’d committed and I stayed consistent.
I started sharing them on Facebook and people started looking forward to seeing my progress. It was fun!
Here’s one of my personal favorites. (It’s best with sound on…)
When I was in the depths of depression in 2019, I committed to a year of meditation. Every time I missed a day, I would restart. I think I restarted seven times before I finally got the hang of it.
That daily consistent practice opened up my psychic skills and has led me to a whole new business.
I’ve been writing these weekly newsletters to you for five years without fail. I remember sitting in a coffee shop on New Year’s day in 2020 and committing to writing every week—not knowing that we were six weeks out from the start of the pandemic.
I wrote through it anyway. Every week.
This year’s new consistent action will be sharing my journey on Instagram.
This commitment feels so uncomfortable for me because I’d rather write behind a screen than be in front of the camera, but I know intuitively that this is the next step.
I’ll be talking about spirituality and creativity and alignment – and maybe other things –we’ll see. All the things that matter to me and if you’ve been following me for a while, also matter to you.
I’d love for you to click here and follow along with me there.
Now.
What’s your word for the year? What is the guiding light that helps you feel most aligned?
Be brave. Be intuitive.
Respond and let me know. I read every email.
Happy 2026!
