Meditation for beginners (a different approach)

meditation Apr 09, 2026

Hi lovebug,

When you think of a badass, who is the first person who pops into your head?

Hold that image of them.

Now what is it about them that makes them a badass to you?

Are they courageous? Punk? Rebellious? Focused? Determined? Highly skilled?

What is it to you?

When I think of a badass, I immediately think of a Tibetan monk.

Why?

Because to me there is nothing more badass than sitting with yourself day in and day out, day after day, for years.

Even some of the most courageous, most punk, most focused, most determined and most skilled among us cannot sit with themself.

And I believe that once you begin—and continue—to practice this one skill, you are moving into the realm of badassery.

But that’s not why I meditate or why I am going to encourage you to meditate.

We’re not going for cool points here.

I meditate because it is the single most important part of my day.

I meditate because I hold a healing container for my clients and I need to be strong enough within myself not to waiver.

I meditate because it brings me back into the present moment in the midst of chaos and craziness in the collective.

I meditate because it was the thing that brought me back home to my work as a psychic medium and multidimensional healer.

I meditate because nothing feels better.

But should you meditate?

You probably shouldn’t.

You may start to feel grounded. You may start to feel calm. You may start to be unbothered by the news. You may start to see the forest for the trees.

You probably shouldn’t meditate.

You may start to spiritually awaken. You may start to amplify your intuition. You may start to make decisions more easily. You may start to see your path in this world.

But no, don't meditate.

You may start to sleep better. You may start to vibe higher. You may start to feel a rush of inspiration. You may start to focus more easily. You may start getting more organized.

Like I said, meditation isn’t for everyone.

And probably not for you…

But if meditation was for you, I’d recommend it the way I teach it.

The way I teach is different from the mainstream methods out there (breathe, empty your mind, etc. - I don’t teach that method).

I teach you how to connect with spirit through meditation.

And it’s the best feeling in the world. Truly. My students love the feeling of meditating (even those who SWORE to me that they “just weren’t meditators”).

But definitely don’t check it out.

Especially if you don’t want your life to improve in twenty different ways.

Until next week love,

Rebecca*
