Is your body asking you to make a change?
Aug 13, 2026Hi lovebug,
Last time I was talking about the ways our body ailments can provide a map to where we need to make changes in our lives.
If you missed part one, you can read it here.
Before I go any further with this topic, I am not a doctor (OBVIOUSLY) and I also deeply believe in doing your due diligence to eat right, exercise, wear good shoes, avoid seed oils, sleep on a better mattress with high quality pillows, etc, etc.
You know, be an adult who takes care of your body as best you can.
AND, take into account the mental and emotional side of your ailments as well. That’s what we’re diving into today.
In part one, I touched on the idea that the body communicates in metaphor.
For example, chronic neck pain that won’t budge? Who or what is a pain in the neck right now? Where are you being stubborn or rigid in your life?
That’s an easy one.
Some metaphors require a bit more knowledge about what emotions are linked to different organs to help decode them.
For example, the gall bladder is related to resentment. That resentment can come from situations where someone had the gall to do something that really pissed you off.
But you never expressed that anger or fully processed it, and then it became a gallstone.
See the metaphor?
Now remember that this is one slice of the overall picture of healing the ailment, but I believe it’s the slice that is MOST ignored.
Think about an ailment that mysteriously "disappeared" after you made a life change.
In my corporate job, the left side of my face went numb. All day, at work, numb. It freaked me out honestly and no doctor or specialist could find anything wrong with me.
Then I went on vacation for a week in Mexico and... yep—you guessed it... no numbness all week.
“Huh.” I thought.
After vacation, within minutes of being back at my desk and seeing a rude note from the world's greatest boss, the numbness was back.
I knew right then that my body was telling me that I needed to quit.
I put in my notice shortly after that and the numbness vanished. No meds. No procedures. There was nothing actually wrong with me, but there was something wrong with my life, and my body couldn’t, and wouldn’t, take it anymore.
Since then the only time the numbness returns is when I tell the story about being back in that job with that demeaning manager. It’s like my body reminds me of what it felt like—just for a few moments—so that I won’t ever go back there again.
Intuitively, what is the thing that you think you need to shift or change in your life?
Just say it out loud, because I know you know what it is.
If you’re thinking, “Well honestly… nothing.”
That’s amazing! Keep this in mind for the future when you go into a phase of growth or change.
Now, where and what is YOUR ailment and then think, “If my body was trying to communicate with me through metaphor, what would this mean?”
Then Google: your ailment, spiritual meaning.
It’ll open your eyes, I promise.
Now don’t get too hung up on this, take it into the holistic approach of your healing. Sometimes, it can be the missing piece that’s been right there, on your body, the whole time.
If you need help, here’s what I recommend:
- Go through the process I described above. See what revelations you have.
- Check out Louise Hay’s book: You Can Heal Your Life. It’s one you’ll want to buy and keep on hand as an ongoing resource. Use the chart in the back to find the new thought patterns for your ailments.
- Book a psychic reading / remote healing. In these sessions, I’ll tune into your energy body, see and hear where there’s stagnation, stuck emotions, and unprocessed memories, and then we’ll move them out. I also hear where there might be patterns you’re struggling with that are causing these energetic blockages.
As always, I’m rooting for you as you grow, heal, recover and expand. ♥️
